DILAPIDATION SURVEY
What is a Dilapidation Survey?
A Structural Dilapidation Survey is a survey carried out by an independent Structural Engineer who records defects in a building structure or series of buildings. This survey serves as a record of the cracks and other defects in the buildings prior to commencement of building work.
In the event of a claim that damage is caused by construction work, a report can be written giving an expert opinion as to whether or not the damage has been caused by the construction work.
